ARA IP MONTH

Our annual flagship initiative highlighting the power of intellectual property (IP) in Africa’s creative economy. It’s about more than rights, it’s about respect, reward, and rewriting the future for African creators.

Why IP Month exists

A fair creative economy starts with knowing your rights. While African music, fashion and film win global attention, too much of that value passes the creators by. IP Month is our answer. A concentrated, practical initiative that gives you the language, tools and confidence to protect your work and claim the rewards it earns.

It’s a toolkit for justice: the knowledge to negotiate better, the paperwork to lock down your rights, and the pathways to turn exposure into actual income. Join us to move from being noticed to being paid.

Your Journey to IP Mastery

This isn't just theory. This is a practical deep dive into the intellectual property knowledge you need to thrive. Over four weeks, you'll build a complete understanding of how to protect and profit from your work. This isn't just a webinar series; it's a career accelerator.

Joe  Ndungu, Artist Manager

I’m grateful to have completed the IP Month Masterclass Series, which deepened my understanding of intellectual property and how it shapes the creative economy. The sessions gave me practical tools for protecting creative work, navigating contracts, and making more informed decisions as both a professional and collaborator. I truly appreciate the chance to grow through this training and look forward to applying these lessons in my work.
